Located 27 km to the east of Huaraz, this beautiful glacial lake lies at the foot of the snow-covered Ranrapalca. A beautiful trip with spectacular vertical rock walls on each sides of the Llaca valley, popular for rock climbing.
After driver us at the bottom of the valley, we stagger up the treacherous moraine to the Llaca Lake (4 474masl) where we will make a short hike around the face of the glacier coming from the enormous Ranrapalca Mountain. This is an easier option for a hike day and perfect place for acclimatization.
Itinerary
Day 01: Huaraz – Llaca –Ranrapalca glacier
We leave from Huaraz at 06:30 a.m in our car . After a 01 hour and half we will arriving to Llaca lake from where we will start our hiking.
At afternoon back to Huaraz.
