Among these the bromeliad, whose flower can reach up to 10 meters in height, covered with some 20 000 small flowers, truly a record in the plant kingdom, stands out. The average height of a cluster of bromeliad flower is from six to eight meters. This gigantic plant is considered a botanical relic, as well as an authentic treasure. It is found only in very specific regions of the Andes in Peru and Bolivia. We can make a hike around the forest of Puyas Raimondi at 4 000asl. During the trip we will have good spots over the Cordillera Blanca.
Itinerary
Day 01: Huaraz – Pastoruri –Huaraz
We leave from Huaraz in our bus after 02 hours we will satrt hiking to Puyas Raimondi plants ( Bromelias ), tallest pineapple family plant . After there we will go until Pastoruri glacier during 02 hours
At afternoon back to Huaraz.
